Alienware aurora 2019: Dell G5 desktop and alongside peripherals, displays

Alienware aurora 2019: Back in January, Alienware unveiled the Area-51m, which the company said was the world’s most powerful gaming laptop. The new laptop, the result of several years of design and technical labor, revamped the appearance as well as the inside with a new industrial design called Legend. What began with that laptop is now being completed with the Alienware Aurora R9 mid-tower desktop and peripherals such as a 55-inch OLED display.

The Legend ID, like Alienware’s most recent laptops, allows Alienware to make the Aurora more compact without sacrificing performance. The 460- or 850-watt power supply is mounted inside the body on a hinge and swings out to allow complete access to your components. As you may think, your alternatives are numerous.

Seven ninth-generation Intel processors, including the eight-core Core i9-9900K, and 14 graphics card options, including twin Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080.
Up to 64GB of HyperX’s new Fury 3200MHz memory, which can be coupled with Intel Optane Single and Dual storage arrays of up to 2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD and 2TB 7200rpm HDD.
The design is also toolless, making adding or upgrading easier, and despite the smaller size, Alienware claims ventilation has been optimized to keep it as cool as possible when gaming. The Alienware Aurora R9 will be available on August 20 for $970 in either white or matte black (called Lunar Light or Dark Side of the Moon).

However, if you want something even more compact, or if your gaming desktop budget is limited, Dell has added a new G5 gaming tower to its inventory. The G5 desktop 5090, like the Aurora, has seven processor options, including the eight-core Core i9-9900K, but GPUs are limited to a single RTX 2080. Memory is expandable to 64GB at 2666MHz, while storage is expandable to 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD with 2TB 7200rpm HDD.

The tower boasts blue LED illumination and an optional clear window side panel, and Dell claims that the airflow architecture allows it to stay cool with just one 80 millimeter fan. If you’re looking for a 1440p gaming experience, this should do the trick and is currently available for $629.

The design of the Alienware aurora 2019

The Aurora R9’s design is nothing short of unique. It adheres to the design language of the company’s revamped laptop series, delivering a more sleek and sci-fi appearance than earlier versions. At course, the taste is subjective, but Alienware did a good job of hitting that futuristic, spaceship-like design that would feel quite at home in Mass Effect.

Alienware’s New Favorite Flair Is Alluring LED

The ringed LED on the front panel is one of the most eye-catching characteristics. The LEDs, like the overall appearance, are evocative of Alienware’s redesigned laptops. The lighting is also changeable, so you’re not stuck with blue if that’s not your thing. This is in contrast to the Dell G5, a low-cost gaming tower released alongside the Aurora R9 that can only emit a darker blue hue. That may seem like a minor detail, but it’s one of the features that distinguishes the more expensive Aurora from its less expensive version.

Alienware aurora 2019: Exclusive ‘Lunar Light’ Lighting

The branded etching, as well as the Alienware logo, LED illumination, are located on the right side of the case. It’s a more tasteful approach to get the manufacturer’s name onto the casing, in my opinion, than the numerous more flashy efforts I’ve seen over the years. It’s worth noting that the Alienware text lighting is only available in this white “Lunar Light” hue—missing it’s from the grey “Dark Side of the Moon” color option. To that end, the previously stated starting price is for the Dark Side of the Moon, since the Lunar Light adds a price hike for this extra configurable lighting zone.

Alienware aurora 2019: Interior Design With Purpose

The door of the Aurora R9 is simple to remove, but what lies behind is a bit startling. The interior is lackluster, verging on sloppy for a more premium desktop. It’s more analogous to the Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop, which prioritizes performance above form and has a drab interior. Even the less costly Dell G5 has a glass and a sleek interior.

To be honest, given the chassis size, this is understandable. This system is intended to be purchased, plugged in, and played while enjoying the exterior and performance. And there are some interesting design elements in the interior: The power supply is housed in the silver box, which swings out to provide access to the components beneath. We’ve seen it before, but it’s a clever approach to save space that’s also quite simple to use.

Component Options: A Broad Range of Power

The rest of the components are easily accessible when you swing the arm out. Dell provides a wide range of configuration options. As previously said, you can choose the simple base-level Aurora R9, but it also scales up to encompass the utmost pinnacle of consumer components.

On the graphics front, you can choose between Nvidia and AMD, however, the former has many more possibilities. Nvidia GPUs range from the GTX 1650 to the highly expensive RTX 2080 Ti, with five possibilities in between. You can even get two RTX 2080 GPUs. In terms of AMD, you have two options: the RX 5700 and the RX 5700 XT, both of which are relatively new Radeon GPUs. The CPU is all Intel, with possibilities ranging from the Core i3-9100 to the top-tier Core i9-9900K, as well as Core i5 and i7 options in between.

You can select almost any storage configuration, from a single small or large solid-state drive or HDD to a dual-drive system with up to a 2TB M.2 SSD and an equally huge HDD. Memory now increases from 8GB to 64GB, with some Intel Optane accelerated choices.

Alienware aurora 2019: the Ports of Entry

The front panel ports are nestled among the sparkle of the LED ring. They are all vertically aligned due to the system arrangement. There are two USB 3.1 ports, a USB-C port, and headphone jacks here. That’s nothing out of the ordinary, but having USB-C incorporated is nice. There’s a very conventional suite of desktop ports around the rear, although there are a lot of them. Another USB-C port, four USB 3.1 ports, five USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet jack, a DisplayPort connection, and audio lines are among them.

A Gaming Desktop for the Future

Overall, the Aurora R9 is an appealing and highly modern gaming desktop, at least from the outside. I like the style in general, but whether you want to put it in your living room is up to you. Nonetheless, it’s compact and offers a wide range of component options, which can result in a wide range of performance and price levels. We’ll have to wait till review units arrive before we can put the parts through their paces, so stay tuned.

It also performs all of this in a small package. The Aurora R9’s compact and very small size may not be obvious from a photo, but it is quite thin. It measures 18.9 by 8.77 by 17 inches, so it’s not too tall or deep, but its thinness is its most appealing feature. This not only saves space, but it also looks clean and sophisticated. Dell G5 desktop computer
Starting with the Dell G5 gaming desktop, the all-new gaming PC borrows heavily from Alienware’s specialized design language. These pieces include blue LED illumination and clear window side panels on the PC’s cabinet, both of which are available as adjustable extras with the PC. Beyond the cosmetics, Dell has maintained the gaming performance of the Dell G5 gaming desktop modular, allowing customers to customize the PC with a variety of components. This also makes the PC future-proof, and the design allows for tool-free access to the PC’s internal components, which should make the update process easier.

In terms of performance, the Dell G5 gaming PC can be outfitted with up to 9th generation Intel Core i9 K-series gaming CPUs, while graphics options vary from NVIDIA’s GTX 1660Ti up to RTX cards, as well as AMD’s graphics workhorses. The most powerful systems will also allow 2K gaming with G-Sync activated on the display. In addition to the pre-configured RAM and storage options, the Dell G5 has additional PCIe slots on the inside for adding extra storage or graphics power if a future update is required.

Dell has also included a modular heat management device, which allows customers to fine-tune thermal management performance and is available via the software control center once the PC has been booted up. However, the PC lacks liquid cooling and instead relies on air cooling via thermal pipes, which might be disappointing, especially in high-end systems. The top Dell G5 PC type has an Intel Core i9-9900K processor, an NVIDIA RTX 2080 graphics card, 64GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD, and two 2TB HDDs. This, however, would be rather costly; sadly, the pricing information has not yet been revealed. The basic configuration includes a 9th generation Intel Core i3-9100 processor, 8GB DDR4 memory, AMD RX 560X 4GB graphics, and a single 1TB 7200rpm hard drive, with prices starting at a hefty $629 (Rs 45,000). The Dell G5 desktop is already available in the United States, with India launch information still pending.

Mid-tower Alienware aurora 2019 gaming PC

Aside from the slick new design language, the all-new Alienware Aurora R9 isn’t significantly different from its predecessors in terms of configuration craziness. For comparison, the top configuration of this sleek, outrageous gaming PC includes a water-cooled 9th generation Intel Core i9-9900K, 64GB DDR4 HyperX memory, 4TB NVMe SSD storage, and either dual-NVIDIA RTX 2080 or a single RTX 2080Ti graphics solution.

That would, however, come with dizzying price tags, as even the most basic combination — 9th gen Intel Core i5, 8GB DDR4 memory, 1TB magnetic HDD, and an NVIDIA GTX 1650 — would set you back $969.99 (Rs 70,000). To be fair, Alienware has always commanded a premium price based on its design and refinement and still managed to develop a stable legion of fans and followers all over the world, so if this sounds appealing, it surely counts as a “cheap” revamp of the Alienware gaming PC experience.

The Alienware Aurora R9, like the Dell G5, is already available in the United States, and any launch details for India (along with official pricing) should be revealed soon.

Gaming displays from Alienware and Dell

The Alienware 55-inch UHD gaming monitor is the clear king of the hill here. Even in this enormous 55-inch size, the monitor offers a 120Hz variable refresh rate panel, 0.5ms reaction time, reduced input latency, 98.5 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and AMD Radeon FreeSync to prevent frame rip and interpolation. Given that you’d pay a fortune for this, Alienware has included a few extras like AlienFX ambient LED lighting, an on-screen display control panel for quick access, and remote control for added command.

The display also has built-in speakers, although Dell’s distinctive Waves MaxxAudio enhancement isn’t particularly exciting, so that might be a letdown. The monitor will be available in the United States on September 30th, and if you want one, you’ll have to pay a whopping $4,000 (Rs 2,90,000) – a lot more than one of Sony’s mid-range 4K LED BRAVIAs.

Other Alienware monitors announced to include a 34-inch curved widescreen QHD 21:9 monitor with NVIDIA G-Sync, which will be available in the US next week for $1,500 (Rs 1,10,000), and a 27-inch full-HD IPS monitor with AMD FreeSync, which will be available on September 17 for $600 (Rs 43,000). A fourth monitor, and the only one under the Dell brand, is a 32-inch curved QHD IPS panel with AMD FreeSync, which will be available next week for $600. While we doubt the flagship Alienware 55-inch monitor will be available in India, local launch details for the remainder should be disclosed soon.

Alienware aurora 2019: gaming accessories

The flagship Alienware gaming keyboard and mouse is the AW510K, which features low-profile Cherry MX Red mechanical keys with full gamer customizable support and per-key RGB LED lighting for $160 (Rs 11,500). At $100 (Rs 7,200), the AW310K is a great buy, with typical Cherry MX Red keys, programmable macros, and dedicated audio control.

The flagship Alienware AW610M gaming mouse, which costs $100, has a 16,000dpi optical sensor, wired/wireless connectivity, a 350-hour battery life, a configurable scroll wheel, seven programmable buttons, and RGB LED lighting. The AW510M wired RGB mouse costs $75 (Rs 5,400) and the wireless AW310M wireless mouse costs $63 (Rs 4,500).
